Prostate Cancer Early Detection

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men. The disease is asymptomatic at first, and early detection can be crucial for timely treatment and a better prognosis.

Regular examination by a urologist is recommended for men from about 45 years of age. A simple blood test (PSA level) and ultrasound are the basic examinations, which can be combined with modern examination methods such as multiparametric MRI of the prostate, high-resolution ultrasound, and fusion biopsy if needed.

The benefits and risks of early detection should be weighed together with your doctor.
